Lots of Weekend Agenda Items!

 *****

AGENDA

SPIRIT WEEK is next week! Check out THIS POST for all the dress-up fun!

1. Français: Les buts - Rough drafts (goals from our planning sheet written in paragraph form in our French cahier) are due by the end of class on Monday. Students who have not finished their draft by this time will be asked to stay in at lunch until their draft is complete. All students were given the chance to work over the noon hour today and/or take their cahier home with them to work over the weekend.
Please check in with your child to see what progress they've made with their writing.
The anchor charts posted in class to assist students with their writing are posted below.

2. Spend some time reading this week!
New: Je Lis! (Home reading site)
OR
ebookids.com is a great site that offers a variety of French stories as well as audio books.
Setting aside 10-15 minutes for French reading will have a huge impact on French language development.

3. If you have not already done so, please ensure you have a pair of headphones here at school. We will be using the laptops for different reading and math activities and having headphones will allow students to better focus on their own work and allow for a calmer learning environment as a whole.

4. SOCK-TOBER: In partnership with Ogijiita Pimatiswin Kinamatwin, we (along with all schools in the St James Assiniboia School Division) are collecting donations of socks and mittens this October.
Please bring in new, unopened adult or kid-sized scocks, gloves and mittens from now until October 31.
There are collection bins near all three entrances (6,7 and 8).
Please donate as you are able. Thank you!

5. School pictures are coming home today! Please return orders by November 3, or order online!
