Some of the votes were pretty close (100 oranges vs 100 bananas, 100 chocolates vs 100 candies) but in the end we voted for 100 friends! Fun!
Next up, Mme 's FAVOURITE activity, "Le défi de 100 secondes!" How many push-ups and chair sits can you do in 100 seconds? How many times can you print your name or hop on one foot? After estimating our totals, we put ourselves to the test to see if our predictions were correct!

Hello! Happy Friday!
Today in Français started writing our Devinez-vous par ce Haiku, based on a object or character from the Le Chandail de Hockey story.
We are tasked with writing 3 separate Haiku and conferencing with 2 classmates before choosing the 1 Haiku that we'll revise, edit, publish and present to the class.
Please ask me: what subjects am I considering for my Haiku? How many drafts was I able to complete in class today? Did I try to include an Onomatopoeia and avoid the list of "mots intérdits?" What are my next steps?
Stay tuned for more Haiku news!
Have a great weekend! :)

Hello friends of learning!
Today was our school-wide "J'aime lire" assembly.
We saw a picture montage of students reading set to the tune, "What Does the Fox Read?", we were treated to a teacher read aloud of the story La tignasse de Max, we participated in a word-scramble game and we had the chance to "oubliez tout et lire."
What a fun way to spend a Wednesday! 📚

Hello! Happy February!
After an unexpected week-long blog hiatus, we are back with a round up of all that we've been up to in Room 208!
In Math, we have been working on multiples, finding the ppcm, and applying this concept to a variety of work problems. Today, we began adding factors in the mix.
We continue to start our Math periods with a variety of class 'starters' and added a new one to our list last week:
In Français, we have moved into our Hockey theme. Over the past two weeks, we have learned about Maurice Richard and watched the well-known story Le chandail de hockey (The Hockey Sweater.) This story will be the inspiration for a short Haiku writing task (more info coming soon) and will lead into our first novel study of the year (more info coming on that soon, too!).
Looking forward to a great week and a jam-packed month ahead!
