The Fifth Day of Middle School

Hello families! It's the fifth day of middle school!

This morning we read the story, We're All Friends Here. It was fun to see the same story from two different points of view. This is a good reminder for us to be kind to one another - we can never be sure what someone else is going through.

We also worked through one of our first Math routines of the year: Esti-mystères! Using a photo as well as a set of clues, we try to determine how many objects are in the container. This will help us review and learn new Math vocab that we will use throughout the year. (Some of the words that came up today were: pair, impair, multiple, chiffre and the symbols < (plus petit que) and > (plus grand que).)

Please ask me about my morning! What was my original Math estimation? What was my favourite part of the book we read as a class? What did I learn in my second PA class? Do I know all of the names of my classmates or do I still need a bit more practice?
