Netmath (+ many agenda items)

Today in Math students were introduced to Netmath. It is an online site that provides practice questions connected with concepts we are currently learning in Math. Students completed an intro lesson and were then assigned 2 'books' to complete today. Most were able to complete the assigned books, with the remaining students getting a good start. Students are asked to have the intro lesson and the 2 assigned 'books' completed for Thursday. The assigned books are posted on the student's homepage in Netmath, and once completed, will no longer appear.

Students can google "Netmath" or use this link: https://www.netmath.ca/fr/
They will click "Se connecter" in the top right corner, and then log in using their first and last name and their school login password.

AGENDA

1. "Thinking Homework" - Today in Français continued discussing how to make an action plan for a goal. Our thinking homework for tonight: What goals would I like to work on this year? What items would be a part of my action plan? Please be ready to share at least one idea with the class tomorrow.

2. Netmath - intro lesson and 2 'books' - Thursday
If completing the books at home is not an option, our room will be open tomorrow (Wednesday) at 12:10 for a place to work.

3. Spend some time reading this weekend! ebookids.com is a great site that offers a variety of French stories as well as audio books. Setting aside 10-15 minutes for French reading will have a huge impact on French language development.

4. Cinémental permission forms were sent home last week and are due back ASAP.

5. If you have not already done so, please ensure you have a pair of headphones here at school. We will be using the laptops for different reading and math activities and having headphones will allow students to better focus on their own work and allow for a calmer learning environment as a whole.

6. The Casse-croute is open for business! Every Tuesday and Thursday students will have the opportunity to purchase a snack to enjoy along with their lunch. The casse-croute is cash only. Please see the menu that was sent home in Friday's "News from the office" for more info. Bon appétit!

7. SOCK-TOBER: In partnership with Ogijiita Pimatiswin Kinamatwin, we (along with all schools in the St James Assiniboia School Division) are collecting donations of socks and mittens this October.
Please bring in new, unopened adult or kid-sized scocks, gloves and mittens from now until October 31.
There are collection bins near all three entrances (6,7 and 8).
Please donate as you are able. Thank you!
