Multiplication with decimal numbers and division basic facts

Hello! Happy Thursday!

Mrs. Jones was back with us this morning as we continued to explore the multiplication of decimal numbers. Now that we are confident with how to represent multiplication using base ten blocks, we will move on to showing our thinking with pictures and then with symbols (numbers).

Our progress with multiplication means that division is right around the corner. Although multiplication and division are besties, we often find division facts trickier than multiplication, which means that extra practice with division might be in order.

Please check in with me: how am I feeling about my division facts? 100% confident, so-so, or not so great? If the answer is anything less than 100%, some extra practice at home would be beneficial. The three links below offer a wide selection of online games that allow for division fact practice. Traditional flash cards are also a good tool. (If looking to purchase, I recommend the triangle-shaped ones that allow for both multiplication and division practice - a two-for-one special!)
